I came across this article, The Truth About Teen Girls in Time Magazine. Great observations about media, body perceptions, and image amongst teenage girls.
One interesting point that I wanted to highlight and I wish it was further discussed was the idea of supply and demand. The reason our media market is so sexually saturated is because it sells. We as a culture have continued to buy into it despite the effects it has on our emerging generations. I guess it is time to quit pointing the finger at the marketing industry and start pointing the remote to the tv and turning it off.

good point!
The last sentence is very well put.
